I am the systems admin in a lowercase office. We are 60+ users. Around 2 weeks agone I detected that 2 PCs were showing error 515 - Superpowe supply fan not detected. I did several troubleshooting and replace the power provision with another one I knew it was working, and it worked, so motherboard malfunction is discarded. I proceed and so to order the 2 power supplies from HP warranty.
Problem is, since then I stimulate 3 more PCs with the aforementioned wrongdoing and I think there´s more to it than just simple coincidence.
PCs: HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF
Note: I resilient in a commonwealth where current is precise unstable. Server elbow room is backed sprouted away heavy UPSes but the desktops are not.

Could be dented PSUs, like you suspect. Could also cost a firmware bug. Are every last of the affected PCs on the same BIOS variant? Fancy if there's an upgrade available.
My guess would make up the dirty power has wrecked the PSUs.
